Easy Lactose-Free Strawberry Mousse

This easy lactose-free strawberry mousse is light, creamy, and full of strawberry flavor. Made with just four ingredients, it’s a simple make-ahead dessert perfect for Valentine’s Day, date night, or a cozy Hallmark movie night.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box strawberry Jell-O mix
  • 8 ounces lactose-free cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup canned coconut milk
  • 10 fresh strawberries, divided

Method
 

  1. Mix the mousse. Using an electric mixer, beat the strawberry Jell-O mix, softened lactose-free cream cheese, and coconut milk together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the strawberries. Dice 6 of the strawberries and gently fold them into the mousse mixture.
  3. Chill. Transfer the mousse to a serving bowl or individual dessert dishes. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Garnish and serve. Top the mousse with the remaining fresh strawberries just before serving.

Notes

  • Adua uses Green Valley Creamery lactose-free cream cheese for this recipe.
  • For the smoothest texture, allow the cream cheese to soften slightly before mixing.
  • Dice the strawberries fairly small so they're evenly distributed throughout the mousse.
  • For individual servings, divide the mousse among dessert glasses before chilling and garnish with fresh strawberries just before serving.
