Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks broken in half
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • 1 Wooden spoon or spatula

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the oats, cashews, almonds, pretzels, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Stir in the honey, olive oil, and orange zest until evenly coated.
  4. Spread onto the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and gently stir in the dried cranberries while the granola is still warm.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Allow the granola to cool completely before storing so it stays crisp.
For extra sweetness, stir in white chocolate chips after the trail mix has cooled. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
